Indigo’s annual book selection brings Canadian writers into a list ranging from family stories to history and puzzle mysteries. DIVINE’s October 28 report places Caro Claire Burke’s Yesteryear first, followed by Michelle Good’s Eliza Sunshine and Emily St. John Mandel’s Exit Party. More than 150 Indigo employees helped choose the ten titles, according to the report. Four selections are identified as Canadian. The list is a retailer’s recommendation, rather than an independent literary award or a sales ranking. Its announcement occurred the previous week; the new date belongs to DIVINE’s coverage. Readers can use the selection as a starting point for their own reading.
